Got a Jorb

I've been looking for a job for a really long time (really long time = long enough to make me realize what "starving college student" means).

I applied and got shut down on probably 10 jobs in the last month, which stinks.  But I finally got one! At the Cannon Center. Woot. I'll be working 1-5pm.  For the rest of this semester I'll be doing normal food service stuff and then next semester I'll start unloading the delivery trucks and shifting stock.

I think the reason I got denied on all those other jobs is because they weren't food service or fast food. And this one is. Which means I'm destined to become a food service worker for liiiife! New life goal.

Rawr.

Today I'm writing a paper about Siberian Tigers for my biology class.  Pretty much the only reason we have to write it is because the professor says every BYU student should know how to write an essay and so many BYU students graduate without knowing how.  Not really sure how he worked that one out, but here we are.  Siberian Tigers! It's so great that I learned so much about them when I loved them in 2nd grade, because it's really helping me out now. Thank you, Ms. Lloyd, for teaching me about tigers so that I can pass Bio 100.

I've been riding my roommate's road bike around and holy cow. I never have ridden one before and now I completely understand bike racing. I want one.

I realized that I study best when I am slightly sleep deprived.  If I get a full nights sleep (anywhere from 7-14 hours) I cannot concentrate on my homework because my mind is fully awake and so I think about multiple things all the time, get distracted, and end up getting nothing useful for school done.  But, if I get barely enough sleep (3-5 hours), then I am completely focused on my homework and get so much done because my mind is too tired to multitask/think of anything else.

Of course, this only works for like 4 days. Then I have to catch up.

Johnny

I went to John Mayer in SLC the other night.  The best part about it was that he sounds exactly the same in real life as he does in his albums.  He makes really creepy faces and weird eye-looks. But he told some funny jokes, and also some jokes that made no sense at all. No sense. He made fun of a girl with a poster that said "Hug me and it will activate my time machine to the past." When he asked when she wanted to go to, she said..... Brazil. Obviously you don't need a time machine for that.

He sang all the songs that I wanted him to sing. Good.

Tomorrow morning I'm moving out. I've packed all of my stuff into french fry and chicken strip boxes I got from DQ. So basically one wall of my room looks like the walk in freezer in DQ.  I wish I could take my car down... I'll miss it. Even though it isn't very fast. Oh well. Some day.

Firsts.

Soo I made a blerg. I never thought I would, but then. I did.

I'm 19. I'm going to move into my dorm at BYU next week.... 6 days. I'm really excited about it, as most people would expect of a Freshman, I think.
This week, I'm working on a farm.  I like it.  Better than DQ.  Plus, grandparents are a plus. Also, money.

Country Musac?

So first post on a blog ever. The End.
